Pinhole Photography

Here are a few pinhole images I shot last week, in the first time in a long time. I'm looking forward to getting many more this week in NYC!

What are you having for dinner?

In light of recent news I think this anti-ad is appropriate.

Wunderkammer

A cabinet of curiosities was an encyclopedic collection in Renaissance Europe of types of objects whose categorical boundaries were yet to be defined. They were also known by various names such as Cabinet of Wonder, and in German Kunstkammer ("art-room") or Wunderkammer ("wonder-room").

Me as a giraffe. Blog self portrait #1.

Where did all the trees go?

I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to shoot the second shot, but this was a test shot for that concept. You'll have to wait to see that one, but in the meantime you can guess about the concept. Though it is sort of like the Lorax tale.

Alternative Process Printing

Here are some recent cyanotype and Van Dyke prints I made on a variety of papers. I'm looking forward to making many more but I'll see how much time I can find. If anyone is interested in this printing technique let me know, it's pretty easy and pretty amazing to watch the print appear in the tray. Also, it doesn't require a darkroom. Let me know what you think of these prints!
